About Our Practice

Ronald Kysar Ellsworth was born on Feb. 6th, 1979 to John and Cecelia Ellsworth in Caldwell, Idaho. At that time, John and Cecelia owned and operated a farm in Grandview, Idaho. Due to financial difficulties, they lost the farm and moved to Arizona when Ron was in elementary school. John and Cecelia worked hard in real estate when they got to Arizona, and passed their work ethic on to Ron.

With the help of his father, Ron’s first business was a summertime lawn mowing business for several neighbors. During high school, Ron would often work on fixer-upper homes with his father, and building new homes also. He is forever grateful for his wonderful parents who taught him so much. After high school, Ron worked on a framing crew where most of the other workers were Mexican immigrants.

Ron’s first pushes towards medicine were during that time, when his workmates would complain about the difficulty of getting medical care for their families due to the fact that they were immigrants.

After framing for about a year, Ron then served an LDS mission in the Canary Islands (Spain). He grew to love the Spanish language, and also developed a love of serving other people. When he came home he returned to working in construction, but his foreman and family encouraged him to go to college, so he started taking classes at Mesa Community College. He soon transferred to Arizona State University (ASU), and during that time met Audra Brown through church meetings. They were married on March 15th, 2003.

Ron Graduated from ASU, and was accepted to the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 2005. During his undergraduate and graduate schooling, Ron was interested in various areas of medicine, and almost ended up in Radiation Oncology, but kept feeling that family medicine was the area of medicine that he should go into. After graduating from medical school in 2010, Ron and Audra and their 3 kids moved to Provo, Utah for family medicine residency.

Residency was a busy time in their lives, but it was a wonderful learning experience for Ron’s medical knowledge. During his last year of residency, Ron served as a chief resident over the 18 other residents in his program. After graduating in 2013, Ron worked at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot for about one year, and then most recently worked at Grand Peaks Medical in St. Anthony.

He has always wanted to be his own boss, and is excited to be starting his own clinic here in St. Anthony. Ron is forever grateful for his best friend and love of his life, Audra, who has made it possible for this dream to happen. Ron and Audra have five kids Brook (10), Kysar (8), Lynn (6), Kate (4), and Ellie (0). The Ellsworths love St. Anthony, and hope the clinic goes well so they can call St. Anthony their home.
